Should i start watching smallville

Those wires were close to, you guessed it, meteor rocks. So what this episode tells us is that when you have a combination of water, electricity and meteor rocks, you can make time-traveling phone calls. Groundbreaking, right? There are some shows that run for so long, the writers just throw their hands up and start experimenting with high-concept ideas.

The problem is, the background against which this story is set is the attempted assassination of Lana Lang, which, you know, should be kind of a big deal. However, the episode decides to veer into this dream-like reality and then solve the mystery of who shot Lana Lang almost as an afterthought. Season 4 hit us with a baby-sized curveball near its end, with an episode that, once again, introduces a whole concept that is never, ever revisited.

In it, Clark and Lana find an abandoned baby only to discover that he ages extremely fast, going from toddler to teenager in a matter of days. If Tom Welling had not accepted the part, the role would have gone to him. Goofs In several episodes, an establishment shot is shown in scenes in the Kent's barn at night.

A crescent moon is shown with its limbs pointing down toward the horizon. This can happen, but not at night. Quotes Tess Mercer : [Reading Chole's letter to Oliver] Oliver, I never thought I'd have to tell you how I feel about us because the smile on my lips when I looked at you pretty much said it all. Crazy credits The credits style changes in the season 5 premiere. User reviews Review. Top review. Don't care how you do it! I cannot believe that I didn't catch this outstanding show when it first aired, I am really disappointed in myself for that.

About 16 months ago a friend of mine lent me his copy of the first season to check out, he told me he had watched it already and that I could take my time with it. I had it for a week without touching it, then I decided to pop it in and watch the first episode, I was thrilled! How wrong I was. This show is intelligent, moving, intriguing and just plain fun to watch! I am also in the fortunate position to have only experienced the show on DVD on my 96" front projection system, so the show has taken on a cinematic element for me that most people won't get.

Because of this, I do not watch the show on television at all, it's strictly a DVD event for me. This of course means that I cannot catch up with the show as it run's on the WB, but i'm committed to watching it only on DVD. For wide-screen purists like myself, the show being open matted from 1.

Sadly, Tom Welling will not be Superman in the up-coming film, that's a real shame, he embodies that character so much. The episode entitled 'Rosetta' with the late Christopher Reeve is perhaps one of the most riveting hours i've witnessed on television since 'The Body' episode of 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer'. Clark's struggle against the wishes of his birth father Jor-El are very mysterious and somewhat disturbing to watch.

Micheal Rosenbaum as Lex Luther brings so many multi-dimensional elements to this iconic eventual villain that he even manages to make Gene Hackman's Lex seem downright flat and cardboard-ish. We all know that he will become Superman's arch-enemy, but how and why? This show dares to explore those questions with surprising freshness and intrigue. Though I suspect that he will be Superman's enemy, not Clark's. Read my mind. Adult Written by foggy February 10, Positive role models. Had useful details.

Adult Written by selebra January 5, Not For Kids Good show - one of the best Superman series ever made, second only to Lois and Clark; however, it is can also be really violent and gory, especially in later seasons.

I even have a hard time watching it as an adult. If you don't think it can affect young kids - consider this - I still remember a horrible preview overseas movie theaters didn't have censoring on their previews before a movie from when I was 8 years old and it makes me cringe to this day, more than 30 years later.

Helped me decide. Adult Written by PuppyDoggy11 April 28, Parent of a year-old Written by lanamomkd October 20, The drinking is not a problem; it doesn't change anyone's mind about drinking or smoking The shooting isn't a huge problem; Clark is always getting their in time to stop the bullet!

Not a huge fan of Season 5, 8, or 9. Anyways, great for kids 11 and above. Positive Messages. Parent of a year-old Written by Em-El October 20, Perfect: My kid loves this show We skipped season 8; not that good for the Doomsday scenes. We did not watch season 5 and 1 for no particular reason, although I see that many do not like the parts in Season 5. This is the best show that my kid has ever loved. Although I do not watch it with or without her, it is a great show, and is great for I think ages 15 and above would not enjoy it as much, but that is only my opinion.

The Point: This show is great for 11 year-olds and above. Parent of a year-old Written by SmallvilleParent October 20, Perfect for kids 11 or 12 and above I love this show. I think it is good for year-olds and over, or maybe 11 year-olds close to the age of I think that the season 8 should not be watched, because of violence.

But what were the most memorable episodes of each season? It was also the lowest of the high-ranked episodes, as the series was still finding its feet in that first season. The storyline had various plots playing out as tornadoes are heading toward Smallville.

The episode worked fabulously because it didn't focus as much on Clark as a man with powers , it was more about the characters and their relationships with destruction looming. It also had a massive cliffhanger that ensured Season 2 would start with a bang.

The highest-rated episode of the second season was the episode "Rosetta. Having the man who played Superman in the movies show up as a scientist was a great casting decision for the show. However, there was more to the episode than just that. Reeve was Dr.

Virgil Swann and he knew Clark was an alien. This was where a mentor stepped in to convince Clark to learn more about his homeworld, and the episodes with Reeve allowed the world's greatest Superman actor to pass the torch to Tom Welling. In Smallville Season 3, Lex got one of his better storylines, and the one episode that really showed why Luthor is who he is. This episode was "Memoria," which saw Lex using a procedure in an attempt to regain memories he lost about his father.

This leads to flashbacks of Lex's childhood. Clark Kent also undergoes the procedure, but his memories short out the equipment.
